My pet cat — Tiger
So, I still remember the day I brought Tiger home. She was just a tiny kitten, all fluffy and adorable, and even though my mom didn’t give me permission to keep her at first, Tiger’s cuteness was just hard to deny . Mom held out for a bit but soon enough, Tiger makes her way into everyone’s hearts and she became a part of our family.
One of the reasons my mom quickly warmed up to Tiger is because she’s super clean. She never makes a mess and always knows where to go when she needs to. She’s literally the neatest cat ever! No surprise that my mom, who’s always so particular about keeping the house clean, was totally impressed by her.
Tiger never made a single place dirty in our house. She always keeps herself spotless and it wasn’t long before my mom went from skeptical to completely in love with her. And here’s where it gets even more interesting. Tiger’s a little genius! She’s not just smart when it comes to listening, she’s also figured out how to open doors, windows and even her own food container. I mean, it is hard to imagine that she unlocks the food container on her own when she’s hungry. She’s very independent and I’m always astonished at how quickly she figures things out. Sometimes I think she’s smarter than all of us.
But then, one day, something bad happened. Tiger, being herself got too close to the edge of our balcony and before we knew it, she had fallen from the 7th floor. It was one of the most panic moments of my life. I rushed down to look for her. After searching around the building, I finally found her, hidden among some bushes. There was blood on her mouth, and she was struggling to move and meowing weakly. But when I called by her name, she tried to come to me, even with her legs broken. It was heartbreaking to see her like that but I knew she was a fighter. We took her to the vet immediately and the doctors told us it would take long to recovery. For the next 3-4 months, Tiger couldn’t walk properly. It was tough seeing her in so much pain but we were with her every step of the way.
But Tiger is strong. After months of care, love, and a lot of patience, she finally began to heal. Every little improvement was a victory and slowly she got back to being her playful, mischievous self.
Now, she’s not just recovered but also she’s doing great. Tiger is healthy, happy and believe it or not, she’s a mother now. She has nine beautiful kittens and one more thing, she’s the most amazing mother to them.
